Skinart-tattoo – tattoo meanings!

I’m thinking of getting a half sleeve.. I really want to… just a little “unsure” what should I do?

I’m 21 years old, I have 3 Tattoos already (small cancer ribbon behind my ear, black butterfly on right hip bone, and a skull&crossbones on my upperback), I’ve been looking at this design for a long time now, similiar to the Ed Hardy “love kills slowly” skull and roses black/white/red look. My artist is AWESOME, he already drew it up for me, I just find myself thinking pretty often, “do i want to have this when i’m in a wedding dress someday?” “is this just too much?” I’ve already figured things out with my career, I just wear long sleeves, it doesn’t bother me a bit and I work in a dental office. I just want some honest opinions on this. (save the rude shit, im looking for constructive)

I would suggest living with the thought of it for a while longer before you commit. Give yourself 6 months to a year to decide if you really want this on your body permanently.

I love sleeves on girls. I think it looks awesome. Check out offbeatbride.com and search that site for ‘Tattooed Brides”. There’s nothing like a badass tattoo with a romantic gown.

However… I would think some more about the ‘Ed Hardy” style tattoo. It’s a huge trend right now… just like in the past when tribal was trendy… or getting Looney Tunes characters was cool in the 90’s. Trends come and go. Get something that means something to you. This will be on your arm forever for everyone to see. Not that my opinion matters, but I do like traditional tattoo’s.
